According to Heat Vision Saw VI director Kevin Greutert will be directing the sequel to Paranormal Activity, the $15,000 movie that minted $151 million worldwide. No news yet on what his budget might be for the sequel – but you have to wonder if $15,000 would actually cover his fee?
The sequel’s script is being written by Michael R Perry, while Jason Blum and Oren Peli, who masterminded the first Activity are producing. The storyline is being kept under close wraps. “These guys get it, and the fans won’t be disappointed,” says Peli of Perry and Greutert. Perry has written for such TV shows as Millennium and The Guardian.
The film is due to his US cinemas next Halloween, which, intriguingly will place it up against Saw VII.
