Samuel L. Jackson keen on Star Wars: Episode VII
Would like to make a return
Ever since the news of a new Star Wars film was broken back in October, practically everyone to ever be associated with the franchise has come out and had their say on the matter.
Samuel L. Jackson is the latest star to do just that, with the man who played Mace Windu confirming that he’d be more than happy to pick up the purple lightsaber for another go-around.
“I’m not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more Star Wars ,” said Jackson. “It’s like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when Episode IV started, so maybe everyone thinks I’m dead and we’ll find out what happened to Mace Windu. I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that’s still around that didn’t actually die."
When specifically asked if he wanted to return, Jackson replied, "Hell yeah! I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don’t care. I just want to stay associated with the franchise. Not that I won’t because I’ve been in three of them.”
Sounds like whoever gets to fill the director’s chair can stick him in the “yes” column then. Star Wars: Episode VII opens in the UK on 17 July 2015.
