Samba de Amigo comes to Wii
Was it inevitable that the Wii remote and nunchuk would eventually serve as maracas?
Oct 25, 2007
It's possible you missed Samba de Amigo when it was on the Dreamcast - after all, it required maraca peripherals. Naturally, a game where you hold two objects in your hands and shake the crap out of them is perfectly suited for the Wii.
And so Sega is bringing the old favorite party game into the next-gen, marking a return to the genre that is now ubiquitous, but was still pretty novel when the original came out. Along with Amigo the sombrero-toting monkey and hopefully some not-easily-embarrassed friends, you'll be shaking virtual maracas to the beats of songs from the original as well as tunes popular today.
Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
