Sam Rockwell in talks to join Poltergeist remake
Reportedly keen to work with Sam Raimi
Fox's forthcoming Poltergeist remake might be on the brink of some A-list casting, with Sam Rockwell reportedly in talks to star in the project.
Rosemarie DeWitt is already on board to play the film's female lead, with Rockwell thought to be attracted to the film by the chance to work with producer Sam Raimi.
The casting is far from locked at this point, but it does sound that Rockwell is keen to add horror to his considerable repertoire.
The film has officially described itself as "a revisionist take" on the Tobe Hooper original, and will focus upon a financially struggling family who move into an outdated suburban home, much to the chagrin of the spirits lurking there.
Monster House director Gil Kenan will be pointing the camera, with Oz The Great And Powerful screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire having written the script. The film is expected to arrive in 2014.
