Sally Hawkins joins Godzilla
She’ll be playing a scientist
Gareth Edwards has been busy assembling a dazzling array of talent for his upcoming Godzilla reboot, with Sally Hawkins the latest addition to an impressively starry cast.
Deadline reports that the actress has signed on to play a scientist in the revamped monster movie, which should place as much focus on the human element as on the giant rampaging lizard.
Hawkins joins a star-studded group that also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe and David Strathairn. Not bad for a film about a giant dinosaur…
With a script worked on by the likes of David S. Goyer and Frank Darabont, we were already hoping for big things from this one, and with the cast growing more intriguing with every passing week, those anticipation levels just keep on rising.
Directed by Evans, Godzilla will open in the UK on 16 May 2014. The monster movie is back…
