Russell Crowe stars in first trailer for Darren Aronofskys Noah: watch now
Wet, wet, wet…
The first trailer has arrived online for Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic, Noah , in which Russell Crowe stars as the titular ark-builder, facing the storm to end all storms.
With production having started on this one way back in 2011, Aronofsky has spent much of the intervening period working on the visual effects, and unsurprisingly, the new trailer is extremely easy on the eye.
From rupturing landscapes to the fleet of CGI animals, this is shaping up to be one of the most visually arresting films of 2014, and one to be watched on the biggest screen possible.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
There have been rumours that early test screening reactions have been a little lukewarm towards the film, but with a pleasingly gruff Crowe anchoring the technical bells and whistles, it still promises to be one of 2014’s must-sees.
Directed by Aronofsky and co-starring Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly and Logan Lerman, Noah will open in the UK on 28 March 2014.
