Rupert Grint on Eddie The Eagle Edwards biopic
Exclusive: "He's such a big character."
Ron Weasley might be getting ready to hang up his big screen wand but that doesn't mean it's the last we'll see of Rupert Grint.
And of all Grint's upcoming projects, the one we're most excited about has got to be his Eddie The Eagle Edwards biopic.
For those of you who aren't already aware of The Eagle's legend, Eddie was the first British skier to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping. Sadly, he came last in both the 90m and 70m events.
Plucky loser Edwards was so bad that the International Olympic Committee created a new law - the Eddie the Eagle Rule - to stop another Eddie getting into the competition through the back door.
Says Grint: "It's still early days. It'll be great if it happens but we'll see. I'm looking forward to the challenge because he's such a big character. I've never skied in my life, so I guess that might be a problem... But I'm sure I'll pick it up!"
Hollywood, if you're listening, we need this film in our lives. Like, now. Cheers.
