Rumour: Sylvester Stallone returning for Rambo V?
Rambo vs. a Mexican drug cartel?
An intriguing rumour has surface online this morning, with a German PR company having issued a release claiming that Sylvester Stallone is set to return for a fifth Rambo film.
The release claims that Rambo V will see Stallone return for another orgy of blood-letting, summing the plot up as follows: "this time he messes with the Mexican cartel".
There have long been rumours concerning the possibility of a fifth film in the series, with a Mexican setting having been mooted in the past.
The release goes on to claim that Stallone has written a script, likening it to No Country For Old Men in terms of tone. A slight departure from the kill-fest that was the last film, then…
We'll be taking this one with a pinch of salt until Stallone confirms it himself, although given the star's continued enthusiasm for the genre, it wouldn't surprise us too much to see him dusting off the headband once more...
