Criterion Games is rumoured to be rebooting Need for Speed: Underground for parent company EA.
In recent years the UK-based studio rebooted the Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted strands of the publisher’s racing franchise, and an anonymous source has told EGM that it’s soon to do the same with Underground. The site was sent the logo pictured and told that it came from the title's box art for the Xbox 360 version of the game.
The source also claimed that the game will be set in a new version of the Bayview location featured in Need for Speed: Underground 2. While EA declined to comment on the report, EGM says this isn’t the first time it’s received information suggesting the publisher intends to return to Underground’s urban street racing and high performance car tuning scene.
