Rumour: Marvel keen on Aaron Taylor-Johnson to play Quicksilver?
Kick-Ass star reportedly in line for Avengers 2
Of all the superheroes being talked about in 2013, the name that seems to be generating the most online buzz is one that has yet to appear in a major movie at all.
Ever since Marvel and Fox revealed that Quicksilver would be appearing in both The Avengers 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past , we've hardly been able to move for rumours and speculation regarding the super-fast mutant.
With Evan Peters already having signed on for Bryan Singer's next X-movie, fans have been eagerly waiting to see how Marvel would respond, and now the first major casting rumour has emerged online…
The Wrap reports that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is Marvel's first pick for the role, giving the Kick-Ass star the chance to play another superhero, with some actual super-powers this time!
Marvel have naturally refused to comment on the speculation, but given Taylor-Johnson's profile and existing comic-book chops, it's certainly a move that would make sense.
Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers 2 will open in the UK on 1 May 2015.
