The D-pad offers extra competitive depth with corresponding top spin. Someone laying into you with heavy top spin will have to be countered accordingly so as not to lose the upper hand, and returning with grace builds up the forceful and time bending focus meter, which you can unleash with easevia the B trigger. Once you memorize the correlative colors and how to use them, you'll see just how satisfying an intense volleybetween two competent players can be.

You paddle works on a variety of axes, whether you're playing in any of the three modes. Standard controls have you brandishing the remote alone while the aptly titled Control Freak allows the Nunchuk analog stick to control precisely where the player is positioned.
