Rocket League gets a Portal crossover on December 1

Messing with equipment from Aperture Science usually doesn't turn out too well for organic beings, but the toy cars of Rocket League might not mind so much. The Rocket League and Portal universes are set to collide on both PC and PS4 starting tomorrow, December 1.

Now, you might not think a game about cars knocking a ball into a goal and a game about science gone bad would have much in common. But the two actually have a lot in common! For example: … Uh, okay, maybe you have a point. But it's fun and free, so try not to dwell on it and just enjoy the ride. Nine Portal-themed customization options will be available for players to use - all you have to do is finish a full match. Stick around until a game ends and, even if you don't win on the scoreboard, you can gain the following:

Cake (Topper)
Conversion Gel (Rocket Trail)
Propulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
Repulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
Aperture Laboratories (Antenna)
Cake Sticker (Antenna)
Companion Cube (Antenna)
Personality Core (Antenna)
PotatOS (Antenna)

What, no combustible lemons?
