Howard Stern wants to remake the 1979 comedy…
Howard Stern just can’t get enough of that sweet remake sugar. He may be taking longer to get Porky’s back on the screen than he planned (the sex comedy remake is apparently going to start shooting later this year, but we’ve heard that before), but he’s now got his sights on 1979’s Rock ‘N’ Roll High School.
The film saw a gang of rebellious students who roped in the Ramones to help them overthrow a music-hating head teacher. And just who is writing the new version? Step forward former Bill S Preston Esq. himself, Alex Winter. “I've now done so much stuff in music videos, and the Napster movie, that the chance to bridge music and comedy was something that intrigued me," Winter told Variety .
