Quentin Tarantino will shoot The Hateful Eight in November 2014
Bruce Dern and Samuel L Jackson confirmed
Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight will head in front of cameras in November 2014.
That might come as something of a surprise to those who remember the controversy that surrounded the film’s script leak in January this year – an event that prompted Tarantino to very publically quit the project .
Since then, the outspoken director has admitted that he’s “calmed down” about the leak; so much so that he’s put The Hateful Eight back into production.
Not only that, but the official cast list has been released, too. Those taking roles include Bruce Dern, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Walton Goggins and Zoe Bell.
The plot takes place in a post-Civil War Wyoming, where a band of stagecoach passengers are stranded during a blizzard. Jackson and Russell will play bounty hunters, Dern a Confederate general, Madsen a cowboy and Tamblyn a female prisoner.
After all the hoo-ha surrounding the script leak, it’s great that Tarantino has had a change of heart over his next film.
We can’t wait for his second take on the Western genre, especially considering the explosive entertainment he gave us with Django .
It’s good to have you back, sir.
