Quantum Break gets Game of Thrones, X-men and LOTR talent and April 5 release date.
Microsoft showed off new gameplay and gave a release date for Quantum Break during its Gamescom 2015 press conference today. The game, due to hit store shelves on April 5, 2016, is a third-party exclusive from the studio behind Max Payne and Alan Wake.
Footage shown featured a protagonist played by Hollywood actor Shawn Ashmore (Iceman, X-Men series) manipulating and bending time as he fought his way through waves of soldiers - bullets slowed, Ashmore's character rushed behind soldiers at supernatural speed, and time froze the world as it skipped forward and backward. Dominic Monaghan and Aidan Gillen also play a part with looking like the villain of the piece.
Microsoft also showed off a brief glimpse of the Quantum Break tie-in television show, which featured a host of familiar faces and a Fringe-like feel.
