Quake Wars due in 2007

[PC] Developer wants more time

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is not expected to be released until 2007, according to developer Splash Damage, which is keen to have more time to work on the eagerly anticipated, online team shooter.

Even though the game had yet to receive an official release date it was widely expected to be released at the end of 2006. This seems less likely after Splash Damage revealed in an online developer's diary that "to ensure the quality we want, we've decided to push the release out of 2006 to allow for extended testing, feedback and game balancing."

While this is of course disappointing news, it's reassuring to hear that the team is getting the time to create its vision and to deliver a game that will - hopefully - match gamers' huge expectations.
