Details on the first supposed episodic PlayStation 3 game have emerged on the internet, apparently stemming from an E-Rewards pricing survey, and then promptly on to gaming forums.
Nine-to-Five, as it's called, is a cartoon "episodic sitcom" which will apparently arrive in the form of four three hour episodes, downloadable from the PlayStation Network for $5each. Alternatively, you can pre-order the whole lot for $14, says E-Rewards.
With nods to Dilbert and The Office, says the blurb, Nine-to-Five introduces you to MegaCorp, a misanthropic multinational corporation. In the office you're tasked with lying, flirting, chatting and coercing with the game's 25 characters to reach your goals.
Mini-games such as racing and full character customization are promised, as well as dialogue scribed by writers from Comedy Central, Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, Chappelle's Show and Conan O'Brien.
Apparently Nine-to-Five has a "cartoony" look with obligatory HD and 5.1 surround sound options.
It all sounds very legit to us, but we'll let you know when we find out more.
