It's unlikey Taraninto will be too sore about missing out on the PGA award. Afterall, the entire cast of Inglourious Basterds was named best ensembe at Saturday's Screen Actors Guild awards . Tarantino has to take a little credit for that.
The next big red circle on the award show calender is etched around 21st February and the BAFTA awards, otherwise known as the last stop before before the lights dim and fake smiles strain on Oscar night.
With The Hurt Locker picking up some late momentum, Inglourious Basterds reeping more acting honours and Avatar just being Avatar , it could be this trio of films tussling for the Best Film statue at the Academy Awards.
Also at the PGA awards, Up won best animated feature and The Cove took home the best documentary award.
