Power Stone Collection

Despite the greater complexity of Power Stone 2, we preferred the original on the PSP as the simpler levels made it easier to follow. The battles are naturally very busy, so with four players things can get pretty muddled on the PSP's small screen. To reduce the eyestrain, three different zoom levels are available, but zoom in too close and you can't see what's happening around you, so we found it best to keep the camera at a distance and just deal with the visual chaos.

With somewhat lackluster single player modes, the series was best known for its multiplayer experience. Power Stone Collection allows you to play via the PSP's ad hoc network feature with two players in Power Stone and up to four in Power Stone 2. We gave the multiplayer a try and everything worked smoothly. Most importantly, it was just as fun as we remember.
