Portal: No Escape short film begs for feature-length treatment

We've seen a slew of unofficial Portal films cross our monitors in recent years, but this most recent short from The Totally Rad Show host and filmmaker Daniel Trachtenberg definitely takes the, uh, sugary baked dessert.

Portal: No Escape made its debut during The Totally Rad Show panel at last month's Comic-Con in San Diego. It features Portal's main heroine Chell (played by TV and short film actress Danielle Rayne) in an original 'origins'-esque story inspired by Valve's portal-hopping puzzle franchise. According to a recent tweet from Trachtenberg, the film's production began before the release of Portal 2, which would explain the absence of Propulsion Gels, Hard Light Bridges, or sidekick robots.

Dan Trachtenberg's previous works include the short film Kickin'; an ARG campaign for Hellboy II: The Golden Army; and commercials for Nike, Coca-Cola and Diggnation.
