Course 4 %26ndash; Excursion Funnels

For this chamber, you need to fire a portal at the end of the funnel and then at the wall plate to the lower right.Both players jump in and then the player without portals up will need to fire one on the plate straight ahead and one on the side wall to the left up above to carry both players over to the button. Once the button has been pressed, the player who fired the last portal will need to exit the funnel and land on the catwalk below.Once there, they can now fire a portal on the wall under the button to carry both players to the exit.

At the start of this chamber, one player needs to fire a portal to the bottom of the funnel and then one on the wall up and to the left.The other player then can jump on the faith plate and launch into the funnel which will carry them inside the field to the right. Once the other player is inside, the first player needs to step on the button to open the windows and then fire a portal on the wall through the opening to allow the funnel to go under the ball dispenser.Once it is up, the player inside the field can press the button there to release a ball and the funnel will carry it.Now that player can exit the field and set up portals on the plates above to allow the ball and funnel to pass through to the laser beam and to open the exit.

For this chamber, one player will need to go over and step on the button to lower the gate as well as put a portal on the wall to the left.The other player will need to put a portal on the end of the funnel and another on the floor plate to the right. Once the player who set up the portal for the funnel jumps in, let it carry to the top and then fire the opposite portal that is underneath onto the angled plate.As that player falls through, the other player will then need to put their other portal at the end of the funnel to catch the falling player. Ride the funnel to the far side and grab the cube and drop it down.The other player will then need to place it on the button and then repeat the same actions previous to get them to the exit.

This chamber will require one player to place a portal at the end of the funnel and then another on the wall to the right so that the funnel is coming towards you a bit higher. The player that made the portals will then need to use the faith plate to get to the far side and then enter the funnel and ride it to the far end of the room.Once there, they will need to make a portal on the far left wall so that it can take the other player into the office at the top. Once they are in, the player controlling the funnel will need to make a portal in the center wall so that when the other player presses the button in the office, a lens cube will fall and land in the funnel.
Once it does, the other player can hop in the funnel to grab the cube and repeat the steps necessary to get them back up into the office.Once the other player is back in the office, they need to set a portal on the far wall and direct the laser through the portal. The player who is controlling the funnel then needs to set up the portals the way they were originally to bring the other player over to where they are. Once both players are in the same room, the player who directed the laser will then need to set up a second portal on the wall across from the switch so that the laser will raise the stairs, leading both players to the exit.

At the start of this chamber, one player will need to place a portal on the top right side wall and one on the end of the funnel. Then the player will need to use the faith plate to launch into the funnel and get carried to the ledge on the far side.Once there, the player will need to press a button to release a cube and the player still on the ground will need to press the button on the floor to reverse the funnel.Hop in the funnel with the cube and then take it down to the ground. Set up the portal on the end of the funnel and across from the button on the high wall and then drop the cube on the faith plate to launch it into the funnel.Watch as the cube travels through and hits the button, allowing the catwalk to rise and for both players to exit.

One player will need to place a portal on the left wall and another on the end of the funnel.Once the funnel is set up through the opening, the other player can then jump in it.As the other player travels, they will need to jump to the funnel beside them travelling up and then will need to shoot a portal on the far right wall and then the end of the funnel. This will carry them to the exit and a button to reverse the funnel.The other player will now need to set up his portals as he originally did and go through the wall since the funnel will be reversed.Once through, the player on the button will need to shoot a portal the opposite of the one that’s still on the far wall, on the end of the funnel and step off the button. Once he does that, the funnel will carry the other player to the exit.

In this chamber, one player will use the faith plate to launch to the other side of the room while the other player enters the field on the right side and sets up portals above, at the end of the funnel, and on the plate out the opening to the far left. The other player that launched to the far side of the room will need to place a portal on the floor under the field on the left side of the room and another on the plate, opposite where the other players portal is. Now the player on the far side can use the faith plate to launch as the other player steps on the button to reverse the funnel.The player that landed in the funnel will get taken down and across the gap to a button that lowers a plate at the far end of the room. The player controlling the funnel will need to make a portal on the plate that is now exposed and on the plate on the floor to the left side.
Once done, launch off the faith plate and launch up through the field to the upper level.Now the player up high can place a portal at the end of the funnel and another on the plate at the far end on the bottom.The other player can now hop in the funnel to get over the gap and be under the field. Once there, the player above can launch a portal on the floor under the field and then the other player can ride the new funnel to the top and both players can exit.

This is a chamber that requires some good communication, otherwise bad things will happen. From the start, one player needs to fire a portal at the end of the funnel and then one to the left of it. The other player then needs to hop in and go through the opening.Once through, the player travelling needs to fire a portal at the wall directly ahead and one below to the right.The player that is outside the enclosure needs to use the button there to reverse the funnel when the spikes are close to taking out the player on the funnels.As you get through, you will come to a railing and a corridor at the end. Hop out of the funnel and place a portal to the right at the very top.
When reversed, it will take out the turret there as well and bring the cube back out to the start of the room.Now the player with the cube needs to wait as the other player sets up a portal on the floor plate and at the end of the funnel.The player with the cube can ride the funnel up and when they reach the top, the other player needs to create a portal on the angled platform to beside the funnel to launch both the cube and the player to the far side of the room. Once there, place the cube on the button and then the other player will need to launch themselves over to the exit as well.

For this test chamber, one player will need to control the light barrier and one will need to control the funnel.First up, use portals to block the turrets on the right side and then head to the opening around the corner. Have the player controlling the funnels shoot a portal on the wall opposite the opening and both jump in to travel to the far side.Once there, place a portal down and to the right on a pillar to block the turrets on the belt and a portal on the lower left for a funnel.Now when both players fall, it will take you to the right and through a field where you will fall onto a balcony. Enter the doorway for the section part of the chamber. Again, you will have one person controlling the funnels and one controlling the barriers.
Have one player block the turrets on the left with a barrier as the other sets up a funnel to reach the ceiling. Let the player using the barrier portals jump in the funnel first.As both players rise up, shoot a portal to the left to block more turrets and then hop out once you reach the top. Fire another portal to the lower right to block the one turret there and a portal on the wall to the far right to make a funnel come out.Once they are set up, hop in the funnel going up to come out the other portal and head up the stairs.
Once at the top, place a portal for a funnel on the wall behind and ride it across and hop out to the left at the far end.Now for the final section.Both players can go back to controlling the funnel and the barrier by shooting portals through the opening in the wall to the right. Block the turrets on the left by shooting a portal on the pillar and then use a funnel to get to the far side.Once there, fire a portal down to the right, just outside the conveyor belt opening to block the turrets coming through.Now the other player needs to fire a portal to the lower right, inside the room there to create a funnel travelling to the left.Enter it and ride it to the office at the far end.Once inside the office, grab the disc and insert it to complete the course
