The PlayStation VR will cost $400/£350, Sony announced at GDC 2016 today. It'll be available this October.
The newly-announced pricetag puts it well below the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, its two other major competitors. The Rift, which comes with a head-tracking mount and Xbox One controller, costs $600, while the Vive, which comes with two motion-sensing wand controllers and lightboxes that track the headset's movement across a large area, will cost $800.
Looks like it's going to be a happy Halloween indeed.
