Planet Leo
DiCaprio waits for the 11th Hour
"Global warming is not only the No. 1 environmental challenge we face today, but one of the most important issues facing all of humanity." Not exactly the statement you would expect from 'the last man to leave the party' Leonardo DiCaprio but it seems the enviroment is Leo's true Juliet.
The 31 year old Californian is set to produce and narrate 11th Hour, a movie-length doc centring on solutions for reinvigorating the planet. "We all have to do our part to raise awareness about global warming and the problems we as a people face in promoting a sustainable environmental future for our planet," The Aviator star commented.
DiCaprio is also co-writing the project with the co-directors Leila Conners Petersen and Nadia Conners who co-founded green production company Tree Media Group (whoa - way too many 'co's in that sentence!).
Production has just kicked off with shooting taking place in New York, San Francisco and LA. 11th Hour is slated for release autumn 2006.
Rumours that Colin Farrell is currenly working with the Green Cross Code man on a gritty traffic safety feature are yet to be confirmed.
