Pixar replaces entire Good Dinosaur voice cast
Pixar seems to be revamping everything about The Good Dinosaur, from the plot to the cast, with Collider now reporting that the vast majority of the film's voice actors have been replaced.
Lucas Neff, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris, Judy Greer and John Lithgow have now departed the project, with only Frances McDormand remaining from the original roster. In their place come Raymond Ochoa, Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin, Sam Elliott, Marcus Scribner and Jack Bright. It's quite the change-up…
The story has been significantly reworked since original director Bob Peterson left the project, with co-director Peter Sohn now in sole charge of the project. Clearly the studio didn't want to make those changes half-heartedly, but to replace the entire cast does seem an extreme move: presumably the story has changed drastically, and Pixar have a knack for choosing the right voice actor for the role (rather than being led by star power). We'll see if it's paid off when the film opens in the US on 25 November 2015 and the UK two days later.
