The path to the second dungeon is all about wind. After finding the correct path to sail through the fog you'll find yourself on a rather gusty island. Know that the gusts will both hinder your progress as well as give you an extra boost when you run in the same direction. Also, the shovel can unearth new gust pillars as well as cover them up. Bombs can ride currents too.
This two-screen boss battle is a lesson in patience. All you have to do is toss a bomb into a gust as the octopus flies overhead, but timing it will take a few tries. Well, it did for us, anyway. But that's about it, just knock him out of the air and slash away.
