Peter Pan... Come on down...
TV Producer penning Starcatchers
Former Price Is Right producer turned movie scribbler Jay Wolpert has signed up to adapt the bestselling novel Peter And The Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
Wolpert, who also lent his pen to the screen story for the first Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, will write the screenplay which Disney will turn into a computer animation flick.
The novel, published last year, hung around on the bestseller list for 47 weeks and charts the beginnings of Peter Pan, before his adventures in the JM Barrie tale.
The young orphaned Peter stows away on a merchant ship in an effort to dodge life as a servant boy. After stumbling upon a magical trunk full of various starry delights, the ship hijacked and of course it’s up to Peter to stand up to the pirates.
