Persona 4 fighting game trailer makes our Midnight Channel dreams real
People’s secret selves battle it out in first video for crazy fighter
Shin Megami Tensei fans rejoice, as we have the first gameplay footage of the just revealed fighting game based on Persona 4. Taking place after the events of Persona 4, Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena (which is the unofficial translated title) has all our favorites like Chie, Kanji and Teddie fighting (reportedly) in a tournament of Teddie’s design. Did we ever mention that Teddie is a badass?
The gameplay featured has the manic action and the fluid animation we’ve come to expect from the game’s developer based on their previous games like BlazBlue. Also, Persona 3 fans should be happy to see the android girl Aegis in action, as she’s the first and hopefully not the last of the P3 characters invading the game. The title’s been announced for PS3 and 360 in Japan, and hopefully Atlus’ US branch will confirm it soon. Hell, if they put out Catherine in the US, importing this one should be a piece of cake.
