PC-Xbox 360 play debuts May 29
Microsoft slaps first cross-platform game Shadowrun with a confirmed release date
PC and Xbox 360 action game Shadowrun will come out on May 29, Microsoft has confirmed.
Shadowrun is the first title out the door that supports cross-platform play between PC and Xbox 360, made possible through Microsoft's Xbox Live and Games for Windows - Live services.
The game is based on the pen and paper RPG of the same name, dropping players into a near-future world where they have access to magic and kick-ass tech and weaponry. You get to fight for global mega-corporation RNA or the spell-loving Lineage and blast things to kingdom come.
Shadowrun is one of only two games announced so far that'll support cross-platform on release. The second is UNO, which is expected to lay its cross-platform cards on the table at the end of the year. It's possible that Valve's Team Fortress 2 will ship with cross-platform support, but nothing's definite.
