Paul Walkers character will be 'retired' from Fast & Furious series
James Wan planning fitting send-off
The late Paul Walker’s character is set to be "retired" from the Fast & Furious series, with Fast & Furious 7 set to give Brian O’Connor a fitting farewell.
THR reports that the character will not be killed off or simply omitted from the finished film, but will instead have his departure written into the script.
We know Walker had already filmed several scenes on the project, and director James Wan is keen to make use of these, while also providing a satisfying ending for a well-loved and long-running character.
Screenwriter Chris Morgan recently joined the project to revise the script, and new scenes will be written and shot to bring O’Connor’s arc to a suitable close.
Having initially been scheduled to arrive this July, Fast & Furious 7 will now arrive in US screens on 10 April 2015, with a UK date to be confirmed.
