Patrick Wilson confirms Ant-Man casting
Describes the role as “important”
Patrick Wilson has confirmed his casting in Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man adaptation, but is remaining tight-lipped on what we can expect from his appearance.
Playing with an admirably straight bat throughout his appearance at SXSW, Wilson revealed that he has read the script for the film, and confirmed that his character is “important”.
He refused to specify whether said character is good or evil, and also revealed that he has yet to try on a costume of any sort. And that was as far as he was willing to go in terms of details.
One possibility that has been mooted is that Wilson will play a younger version of Hank Pym, Michael Douglas’ character, in a series of flashback sequences. If we were forced to put our money anywhere, we’d probably go along with that…
Directed by Wright and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Ant-Man will make its way into UK screens on 17 July 2015.
