Patrick Stewart to return for X-Men: Apocalypse?
Hints at further X-Men appearances
Having not filled the famous wheelchair for the better part of a decade, one of the primary pleasures of X-Men: Days Of Future Past will surely be the return of Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier.
And while the star may have been away from the X-Men franchise for a little while, it sounds as though this latest outing may not be his final appearance in the role…
“I don’t see why not,” said Stewart when asked whether he might reappear in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse . “That is one of the blessings about fantasy and science fiction. You’re never really dead. I would love to come back and do some more.”
Now while that could potentially be read as a Days Of Future Past spoiler, we’d suggest that Stewart is referring to his apparent resurrection at the end of The Last Stand . In any case, he certainly seems keen for more…
“There might be something else,” continued Stewart, when pressed on future X-Men projects. “A little bird has whispered that there might be something X-Men -related.”
One to watch out for when X-Men: Apocalypse opens in the UK on 19 May 2016…
