Where to find High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld
High Quality Pal Oil, used mainly for crafting guns, is dropped by Mammorest and others in Palworld
You'll need Palworld High Quality Pal Oil for many mid-to-late-game crafting recipes - mainly guns - but there's no clear way of getting it. Unlike electric organs, fluid, and other weird materials in Palworld, High Quality Pal Oil doesn't have an intuitive source based on the various Pal types, so it's hard to know where to start looking or which Pals to kill to get it. Fortunately for you but not the Pals, I've laid out some tips for finding High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld, though it can be a bit inconsistent.
High Quality Pal Oil location in Palworld
High Quality Oil in Palworld is a drop from certain Pals when either caught, killed or butchered. Unlike Palworld Pal Fluid, this oil doesn't seem to drop from a specific type of Pal and drops mainly from the following Pals:
- Mammorest
- Woolipop
- Flambelle
- Digtoise
- Quivern
- Relaxaurus
- Grintale
- Dumud
There may be other Pals who drop this material, but we've found that it's the first three that are easiest to find, assuming you're starting off from the Plateau of Beginnings and head roughly Northwest. Mammorest in particular can drop over half a dozen High Quality Pal Oil per kill, though obviously taking down these big leafy elephants is easier said than done. If you want some help with that, our special Palworld type chart will reveal which of your Pals have the best chance at defeating it.
Once you have High Quality Pal Oil, your best approach is to bring it back to your base and set up a weapons workbench - because assuming you have the technology points applied and the Palworld Ore to make into Ingots, you can now start crafting the various firearms the game provides.
