Nolan believes in Harvey Dent
Dent the man to watch in The Dark Knight
So far, all the Dark Knight hype's been about one man, (The Joker for those of you who have only just discovered the internet), but according to Christopher Nolan, we shouldn't forget about another man. Or, to put it another way, two men.
Because according to Nolan, it's Harvey Dent (the chap destined to become Two-face) who's the true focus of Knight. “Harvey Dent is a tragic figure, and his story is the backbone of this film.”
Which isn't to say the ad-bods have used trailer trickery in heavily featuring the Clown Prince Of Crime. According to Nolan: “The Joker, he sort of cuts through (The Dark Knight), … He’s got no story arc, he’s just a force of nature tearing through. Heath has given an amazing performance in the role, it’s really extraordinary.”
