No progress on BioShock Vita

A BioShock game for Vita could still be made, but owners of Sony's handheld probably shouldn't hold their breath for fresh news any time soon.

Ken Levine announced the game for Sony’s portable at E3 2011, back when the system was still known as NGP, but the Irrational Games boss said this week the project remains in limbo.

"That's out of my hands right now, that's with the business guys [at Take-Two and Sony] negotiating that deal and trying to make it work for both sides,” he told IGN. "I've got my fingers crossed that that's going to happen because it's something I want to do, but until somebody starts signing the cheques there's nothing I can do... Hopefully it will come to fruition."

Levine has previously suggested that Irrational could outsource development of BioShock Vita.

The studio is currently working on BioShock Infinite DLC, with the game having gone gold earlier this month ahead of the BioShock Infinite release date of March 26.
