No More Heroes: The hidden plot revealed!

Okay, so you've fought your way right through to the end of the game. You've marvelled at the crazy invention and lunatic imagination on show. You've been thrilled by the katana-swinging, bad guy-exploding action. You've grooved to the soundtrack, you've run that bike over more people than you can remember, and you've loved every last minute of it. Then you get to the last boss, expecting some kind of imminent resolution to the whole glorious, insane ride, and well... The end of No More Heroes throws a spanner the side of a T-rex's thigh bone into the works.

Not only does the last pre-fight cut-scene give you a whole new, completely unexpected plot-line to deal with, it refuses to explain the reasons for any of it, hiding it all in an incomprehensible fast-forwarded section. And it makes it sound so juicy too. Oh SUDA, you are such a scamp. Now hold still while we throw things at you.

Fear not though, as feeling your pain we took the liberty of recording said mind-bursting plot revelation and slowing it down to a sensible pace. So here, we present Jeane's explanation to Travis of her presence, the nature of his relationship with her, and let's face it, essentially the reasons for everything that happens in the whole damn game. Be warned, she was absolutely right when she said it would bump the age rating up.

Long-time GR+ writer Dave has been gaming with immense dedication ever since he failed dismally at some '80s arcade racer on a childhood day at the seaside (due to being too small to reach the controls without help). These days he's an enigmatic blend of beard-stroking narrative discussion and hard-hitting Psycho Crushers.
