Official site update reveals new Wii-mote controls
Sept 3, 2007
No More Heroes is one of the upcoming Wii titles that has really caught our eye with its Beam Katana-based battling and assassin driven storyline. And because it's being produced by Suda 51, the man behind the crazy but brilliant Killer 7,it's guaranted to have amuch more adult theme thantheaverage offerning for Nintendo's console.
We haven’t heard much about No More Heroes sinceour interview with the man himself back in December, but with the release of three, blink-and-you’ll-miss-'em, teaser clips on the newly updatedofficial website we’re at last given a freshlook at some of the gameplay.
The first clip, “Holly grenade”, sees our assassin in an extremely life threateningsituation, involving a deep hole and a live grenade, but it’s the second and third clips that really got us excited.
These show the game in action complete with on-screen Wii-mote commands, our particular favourite shows the playerbeing prompted to thrust the Wii-mote and nunchuk downwards, resulting in a guys head being slammed into the ground.
The Beam Katana, a lightsabre-style weapon, is also on short display, and the prospect of wielding this deadlyblade using the Wii-motehas us grinning like a Cheshire cat.
You can view all threemovies over on the official website, which ispromising to hostatotal of 51clips over the coming weeks.

Hi I'm James or JJ if you like, I'll answer to both. I'm the Executive producer for GR video which means I've had at least a part in all the hot moving pictures you'll find on the site (even if that part was just saying, yes that's a good video). I also produce the Future Games Show and Golden Joystick Awards. Away from the office you'll either find me playing Fortnite, or walking my dog. I'm better at one than the other, I'll let you decide which.
This new indie D&D campaign setting brings Studio Ghibli and Zelda: Breath of the Wild aesthetics and worldbuilding to the tabletop RPG, and I'm already scheming hard as a DM
I've seen enough: Assassin's Creed Shadows will beat Black Flag as my favorite AC game as Ubisoft says it lets you "Naruto run" as the "fastest Assassin" it's ever made
