Tabuu’s trophy says “He used Shadow Bugs to form Subspace… No name is more suitable.”
Defining moment: With Nintendo’s history of boss-making you’d think that for Smash Bros, a celebration of all things Nintendo, they’d have had something less mundane than a hand for the final fight. That said, there’s something creepy about his attempts to punch, walk, flick, shoot and slap you. Working with Crazy Hand, the uncle of hand-based battlage, Master Hand makes for a memorable boss encounter if nothing else.
WTF?! Did Master Hand really need a back story? Brawl’s Subspace Emissary takes things a step too far with Master Hand being manipulated by an intergalactic puppet master known as Tabuu – a neon-blue man pulling Master Hand’s strings… sorry, ‘Chains of Light’. Turns out Master Hand wasn’t evil after all, kids.
