Nintendo Switch is officially getting Skyrim, duh
It was hardly a secret, but here it is anyway: The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is coming to Nintendo Switch. Bethesda Game Studios boss Todd Howard appeared in a video at the Switch reveal event to confirm that the beloved open-world game is coming to Nintendo's next console.
The presentation only called the game Skyrim, so it sounds like the visual improvements and mod support that we covered in our Skyrim Special Edition review won't be included for Switch. This lines up with the rumors we've heard about the console having relatively limited processing power next to PS4 and Xbox One.
Skyrim was featured prominently in the initial Switch reveal video, but Nintendo was quick to note that all of the featured games were included for demonstration purposes only. Even though it would have been super weird if they were just mock-ups.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
