Nintendo players like pink

Tuesday 5 June 2007
The latest UK console sales figures from Chart Track show that Nintendo gamers are partial to the colour pink, with the candy-coloured versions of its GameBoy Advance Micro, GameBoy Advance SP and Nintendo DS Lite handhelds proving to be a big hit.

So far this year pink has proven to be the colour of choice amongst gamers in the UK for both GBA Micro and GBA SP (yes, people are still buying them), while sales of the pink DS Lite are only marginally behind that of the most popular black version.

This shocking pink revelation is surely testament to the far-reaching popularity of Nintendo's handhelds and the diverse appeal of the titles available for them -in particular the DS, which has been embraced firmly in both hands by people of all genders and ages.

In contrast, the pink PSP remains the least popular choice amongst people nabbing one of Sony's portable devices, with the original black model outselling it week-on-week by a considerable margin.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
