Nine things we learned from E3 07
Investigating talking points of last week's global game show
It's definitely going to be worth attending Leipzig Game Convention
A couple of years ago the Leipzig Game Convention in Germany was pretty irrelevant. Now, with the restructured E3, it's shaping up to be more significant than ever and - certainly for Europe, at least - close to equalling E3 in terms of importance.
Sony bigwig David Reeves revealed at E3 that there would be a big PS3 announcement at Leipzig, as well as a fresh look at social-hub Home with Phil Harrison. Konami has confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be playable for the first time on PS3 at the show, while other publishers have confirmed to us "off the record" that they'll be showing new stuff that wasn't at E3.

It might not have the sun, sandy beaches or lavish cocktails of Santa Monica, but Leipzig is in a perfect position to eclipse E3 as an actual gaming event, with a show floor more befitting the exciting nature of games far better than the really rather laughable Harker Banger. Sorry, Barker Hangar.
Leipzig kicks off August 22 and GamesRadar will be there. We'll let you know if E3 should be worried.
