Nimrod Antal talks Predators
AVP-haters promised "pleasant surprise"
The man in charge of Robert Rodriguez’ keenly-anticipated Predator reboot has spoken from the set, revealing some details that’ll surely have fanboys salivating.
Currently shooting in Hawaii, Antal promises that those who were disappointed by the AVP travesties will be in for “a very pleasant surprise”.
When quizzed on the amount of CGI in Predators , Antal reassuringly references the love that he and Rodriguez have for practical effects in the first movie.
He promises: “the original film was as good as it was because of the practical, because it was a guy in a suit, because it was the jungle, so we stay true to that”.
Antal claims: “We are trying to stay with the original as far as the monster and the atmosphere and the tone of the film, but we are trying to do something new and contemporary”.
While Antal has yet to prove himself as a director (he directed Kate Beckinsale thriller Vacancy ), he certainly seems to be heading in the right direction.
