V may have premiered to rave reviews in the States last night, but behind the scenes there have been dramas going on. Production on the show was halted after four episodes because the network, ABC, wasn’t happy with the direction it was going in, then its broadcast schedule was altered so that the first four episodes are being shown as a mini series this year, with the remaining nine episodes of the 13 originally commissioned due to air next year at some point.
And now there’s a new man in charge.
According to Variety former Chuck and The Shield executive producer Scott Rosenbaum has now been installed to steer the series. He replaces Scott Peters, who will continue as an exec producer alongside Jace Hall, and Jeff Bell, who has departed the show.
But with the show getting such a good reaction from critics, you have to wonder if the series needs a new direction?
