New Zelda game for the Wii

Sept 10, 2007

The new Wii Zapper peripheral gets the Zelda treatment in the upcoming Link’s Crossbow Training for the Wii. Players will once again take control of everyone’s favorite green-clad hero, busting up normal targets, moving targets, and enemies of all kinds in this third-person target shooting extravaganza. We can’t say much for the Zapper (yet), but Nintendo of America senior vice presidentofmarketing George Harrisonsays, "Both veteran and first-time players will find it brings a whole new dimension to games where targeting is key and provides even more exciting game-play experiences."

Banking on the Zelda franchise, Nintendo hopes to show off how the Zapper could be used in other games to simulate an arcade-style gamingexperience. There's no telling how that'll turn outjust yet, but Zelda fans can rest assured that Link's Crossbow Training will look as good as a Zelda game ought, as it runs off of the Twilight Princess engine.

The Wii Zapper Link's Crossbow Training package hits the shelvesNovember 19.
