New Vacation trailer heads back to Walley World
New Line Cinema has dropped a brand new green-band trailer for this summer’s revamped comedy throwback Vacation. This decades-later sequel is written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, and sets its sights on a new generation of Griswolds. In particular, a grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms), his wife Debbie (Christina Applegate) and their two kids.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Rusty insists the family embark on the same vacation that he was dragged along for back in the 80s - and so begins their trek to the infamous Walley World amusement park. Check out the new trailer below (via Yahoo!):
Shame to see the “rimjob” gag cast aside in this family-friendly preview, but despite the movie’s R-rating, it looks as if there’s plenty of wholesome fun in store. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles as his aged-yet-wacky parents, with a semi-clad Chris Hemsworth joining the ranks as Audrey (Leslie Mann)’s flirtatious husband.
Vacation opens July 29 in the US and November 13 in the UK.
