New trailer for The Walk will justify your fear of heights
Prepare to cling to your armrests and grit your teeth; Sony Pictures has released a full-length trailer for Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk. Based on the true story of high-wire walker Phillippe Petit, the movie stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the French daredevil whose desire to push his skills to the limit takes him to New York City.
His goal? To walk the wire from one of the World Trade Center’s towers to another. Of course, before he can attempt the highly-illegal - and massively terrifying - feat, he has to enlist a bunch of friends to help scout out the mission. Needless to say, it’s a nail-biting experience. Check out the new trailer below:
Talk about getting that elusive high. That last shot alone is enough to make you cover your eyes and lower your centre of gravity as much as is humanly possible. Gordon-Levitt’s panache, along with the rest of the cast, is infectious and Zemeckis’ flair for the dramatic may have hit its peak...
The Walk opens in 2D and 3D on October 2, 2015. If you can’t wait that long, it’s also been selected to open the New York Film Festival on September 25.
