New Prometheus image arrives
And the Space Jockey is involved once more
Another production still has been released from Prometheus , with Noomi Rapace looking awe-struck once more as she stares into the middle distance at something out of shot.
However, the interesting part of this new snap is the pair of figures standing behind her, to the left of the frame. Yep, those are a pair of Space Jockey suits lurking in the shadows there. At least, we think they’re just suits…
The new image arrives in tandem with an interview given by screenwriter Damon Lindelof to the LA Times , in which he reveals a little more about the overall feel of the film.
“The movie is definitely epic in its scope,” says Lindelof. “One of the filmmakers that we ended up talking about to a fair degree of redundancy was David Lean, who directed Lawrence Of Arabia .”
“We wanted to make the movie feel big by having the characters be small in big spaces,” continues the former Lost writer. “That connected to the larger themes we were talking about — that we’re all just these little gnats crawling around on our little planet.”
We’re getting more excited about this one by the day. Prometheus will open in the UK on 1 June 2012.
