New posters for Casa De Mi Padre
Will Ferrell rocks a white suit
A new pair of posters have been released for Will Ferrell’s Spanish-language comedy Casa De Mi Padre , and rather stylish affairs they are too!
The first adopts the bright yellow colour scheme used in the original teaser poster, and shows Ferrell’s character Armando Alvarez riding on horseback with a purposeful glint in his eye.
Meanwhile, the alternative one-sheet shows Alvarez furiously brandishing a shotgun, as a beautiful woman drapes herself around his neck. You’ll also notice that both posters bear the eye-catching motif of an eagle catching a snake in its beak – perhaps it signifies the good-hearted Alvarez doing battle with the slippery drug lord who’s threatening his family’s ranch?
We also like the knowing tag-lines “the funniest film you’ll ever read” and “from the Gringos who brought you Anchorman”. Having seemed a rather odd proposition on paper, this is actually getting us rather excited now the promotional push has kicked into gear.
Casa De Mi Padre also stars Diego Luna, Gael Garcia Bernal and Genesis Rodriguez and is released in the UK on 16 March 2012. Don’t forget to take your reading glasses…
