New Need for Speed promises to be the series' most expansive entry yet

Need for Speed is back at this year's E3, and it's doing its part to usher in a brave new world of full motion video. But if listening to live actors talk to you about being an awesome driver doesn't get you hyped, know that this new Need for Speed - known, simply, as Need for Speed - has a lot more going for it. Drawing upon two decades of Need for Speed releases, this game promises to be the largest, and most diverse, Need for Speed to date.

Executive producer Marcus Nilsson took the stage to help break down Need for Speed's five different play styles: speed, style, build, crew, and outlaw. Nilsson also emphasized player choice, nothing that you can either specialize in one or two of these areas, or spread out across all five in a city that's "twice the size of Need for Speed Rivals." Sadly, for fans of Need for Speed: The Run, those play styles don't include getting out of your car and running around like a madman.

You will be able to get your hands on the new Need for Speed when the game is released on November 3rd. And for more on E3 2015 be sure to hit up our our hub page and join in the conversation.
