New motion poster for The Wolverine

The Wolverine has released a new motion poster online, in which our feral hero can be seen clutching a katana sword and crouching in the driving rain.

In the background, the Tokyo skyline can be seen glittering and winking, offering a nice counterpoint to the more traditional architecture of the foreground.

The film will see Logan travel to Japan where he becomes entangled with the beautiful Mariko Yashida. All might sound rosy, but Yashida’s old man is a violent crime lord, and he and Wolvie don’t see eye to eye at all…

The film was recently confirmed to be getting a 3D release, and if the latest poster is anything to go by, it should be a visual treat to see Wolverine thrown into the maelstrom of modern-day Tokyo.

Directed by James Mangold and co-starring Hugh Jackman, Tao Okamoto and Will Yun Lee, The Wolverine will open in the UK on 25 July 2013. In the meantime, you can check out the poster, below…
