New motion poster for Dredd
"Sentence… is death!"
Dredd has released a cool new motion poster in which Karl Urban's law-enforcer passes judgement upon the viewer. And surprise surprise, the sentence is death!
Dredd is set in the post-apocalyptic settlement of Mega-City One, where the police are now referred to as judges and possess the power to dole out punitive measures on the spot. That's why our friend Dredd there is so quick to pull the trigger…
The film sees the citizens of Mega-City One in thrall to a new mind-altering drug called Slo-Mo, controlled and distributed by fearsome gang leader, Ma-Ma (Lena Headey).
Safely ensconced in a heavily armed tower-block, Ma-Ma is seemingly untouchable, but she's not reckoned on Judge Dredd. Enlisting Olivia Thirlby's young rookie to help him out, Dredd infiltrates Ma-Ma's lair and must fight his way through several stories of goons before taking down the kingpin.
Directed by Pete Travis, Dredd will open in the UK on 7 September 2012. Until then, you can take a look at the motion poster in full, below...
